For the new Lelepaua Light Rail Station at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaii, artist Mamoru Sato designed two public art integrations that celebrate the Earth (Mauka) and the Ocean (Makai). Each installation consists of a series of painted aluminum rods that come together to reveal the scene. The station is anticipated to open in late 2025.
