In 2007 we worked with artist Donald Lipski to create Leaves of Grass for the new state-of-the-art Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. The work fills the massive 6 story, curtain-walled lobby with a soaring form created from a tubular stainless steel structure that holds a stainless steel net filled with over 10,000 glass chandelier crystals of various shapes and colors. The south-facing curtain wall allows ample sunlight into the space which creates a beautiful array of reflected color throughout the lobby space. The work measures 50' x 60' x 8'.
